In preparation for more work with the farm and language we got out the farm stamps. I paired it with the moveable alphabet so I could incorporate spelling as I told a story.  The idea was to tell a story and leave a word out being a noun such as pig, cow, barn etc. I would spell a word as before mentioned and the kiddos would read that word. After reading the word we stamp with the appropriate stamp.

After a few words that idea became boring and the kids practiced fine motor skills instead.  Lily also had a good time matching each animal with its young.  Lily has learned to use a solid stamp now & maggie uses less pressure stamping too.
