Because we have explored various big life cycles such as the bee, butterfly, ant, ladybug and finally a quick look at the firefly which I made the materials for and added books-we were ready to play the bug life cycle game which includes these bug cycles. Lily enjoyed this because all of the figurines were together.  She loves mixing things up & then sorting them. Maggie was more interested in the board game itself which she quickly got to work identifying the cycles and putting them together.  However, I did not separate the bug cycles during the first go.  I kept it simple to follow up on the cycles themselves and matching them to their spot on the chart.  The next time we play the game I will mix up all the pieces and I think this challenge will gain Lily’s approval and interest.
